I agree with a lot of things you say on this forum Rob, but I can’t agree with the Mitch Cook role. I recall the St Nicholas hotel meeting which would have been an ideal opportunity for Mitch to come on board, but he chose to go another route. I can’t recall anytime when he has shown any interest either in Scarborough Athletic or the Back to Boro scheme. His comments in tonights paper sums it up for me, when he mentions both Pickering and Whitby yet fails to mention SAFC at all. I don’t doubt for one minute his experience and coaching capabilities, however, I’ve always had the impression, rightly or wrongly, that he would prefer to be our rival as opposed to our efforts of unity. I think there are good things ahead for us this season with aims of promotion and our continuous push to come home and would welcome an enthusiastic Mitch Cook but I fear a long wait.
