I know it has been mentioned a lot already as part of other threads but I just want to say that folks that are putting this on, you lads are doing an unreal job.

The camerawork, the editing, even the twitter guy is dead funny. (loved the drake gif from the other night)

the quality is amazing with the different angles, behind the goal and along the sidelines. top class.

I know they probably have a look in on this site and hopefully they do so they can see how much us lot appreciate it.

Top lads.
keep it going.

Agree with all of that. I’m finding myself checking regularly on a Sunday to see if they’ve been uploaded to YouTube yet then I’m sending in to all my mates

It’s worth sharing as the more views they get the more advertising money they can get, which in turn secures the future of it

Just imagine 5, 10, 15, 20 years in the future, we’ll all be able to watch the Stratford goals again and again. It’s of real value to us now to watch games back, but also acts as a quality historical archive.

Is Steve Kittrick and team given a full 90 minute video? Might help them out

canny idea but only think they’d get the home games for the ‘Sky sports like’ tactical cam view ha.

I just think its brilliant, we had the seadog TV ages ago and that went away, then we had the commentary and then went away.

Then YCR came along (massive shout out to them aswell) and now backed up with SAFC TV.

Would you say we’re pioneering non league clubs at the moment with options out there? I know a few clubs do bits and highlights but 90min live commentary on a website and app?

SAFC TV with quality highlights and goals, then a pretty strong twitter team that includes the club, SAFC TV ad Scarborough news sport.

step back and our club does an awful lot for us!

Bigger achievement? by New Seadog

Posted: 5/10/2017 at 11:10:21, 74 views.

Now Boro have reached the 4th Qualifying round, I think this equals the old SFC’s record of ’rounds progressed’?

In 2003/4 we won in 4 rounds (4th Qual, 1st, 2nd, 3rd), as we have this year (Prelim, 1st Qual, 2nd Qual, 3rd Qual).

Question is, what is the better achievement or are they just equally impressive?

For me 2003/04 shades it, as we beat Port Vale away from home, 2 divisions above us. Plus, we beat a total of three teams (Doncaster, Port Vale, Southend) from divisions above, whereas this season we’ve beaten two (Workington and Stratford) from one division above.

Not much in though. If we make the 1st Round, as Athletico said, that’ll even it up!

I agree about a rest but we have no midweek game next wk and we dont want to fall too far away from the pack in the league. I have a feeling if we have a replay v Hyde then the whitby game will be moved from the 17th-24th and if we dont have a replay we may be able to fit the Bamber bridge or Droylsden home games in on 24th.

What really made last night’s result so impressive by seadog365 User: seadog365

Posted: 4/10/2017 at 20:14:19, 121 views.

is that we were missing 3 of our normal back 4 in terms of their usual positions. Thirkell was playing at centre back compared to his preferred right back, whilst Merris and Turnbull were incapacitated. Only Sam Hewitt was in his ‘normal’ role, and yet we still came away with the win!

Now if we can just get our proper back four back to full fitness and health, maybe these clean sheets will start coming back!

Abso-bloody-lutely. I echo that; I really thought the game was going to get abandoned. Thank you to him for stepping in, doing a competent unbiased job, and for both teams agreeing that he could do it. All very grown up and pragmatic.

Great to progress in the cups by ka114 User: ka114

Just looked at our fixture list, as things stand we won’t now have played a league game for nearly a month next time we play one. I really hope we don’t get left behind and have the problem of playing three games a week later in the season. Also hoping it won’t affect the budget as it appears that the FA cup games, though at home are replacing home league games, so these will most likely have to be played on a Tuesday night, with a slightly lower crowd. A bit bizarre that in the first week of October we have only had one home Saturday league fixture, and we don’t have a cricket pitch attached to the ground!

I guess… by seadog365 User: seadog365

the prize money received would more than cover the reduced gate for the Droylsden and Bamber games. Colne was moved to a different Saturday anyway. As far as playing 3 games per week late in the season is concerned, at the moment that wouldn’t be a “thing". We still “only" have two midweek games after October finishes at present (Bamber Bridge and Droylsden at home). Bad weather might make that more, but equally we’d be getting Saturdays “off" in that situation too.

And that should not affect too many home games either due to the pitch, maybe with bad fog or heavy snow

Scarborough buzz by New Seadog

Posted: 4/10/2017 at 09:11:56, 148 views.

This cup run (as they usually do) has created a real buzz among local people who haven’t said anything about football in Scarborough for a long time. Twitter and Facebook was full of people posting about SAFC last night and this morning and left me thinking, I didn’t know they were even interested.

Let’s hope this really inspires more people to get behind the club and go to games etc. The club seems to be naturally more ‘belonging’ to be people of Scarborough now we are back in the town and hopefully it goes from strength to strength.

The prize money of progression in these rounds is also very tasty for this level of football I imagine!

You’re right there is a buzz around the place which we haven’t had for a long time. It’s great for the town, great for the club, great for our sponsors, great for our teams, great for our directors, great for the fans who have followed for the last 10 years, home and away. Let’s hope it continues for a long time to come. Up the Boro.
