PRESCOT CABLES v BORO video online now by Old Git

Posted: 12/11/2017 at 13:20:09, 73 views.

Didn’t get the first 2 Prescot goals but you get
the play leading up to them. I watched both
over the top of my camera and forgot to follow the ball with it.
Hope some other video of Prescot’s 2nd goal appears as it seems
everyone in our defence lost sight of the ball and it just floated into
the net. View would have been different at that end of the ground.
WARNING. In the second half Boro had a flurry of corners
and it was very dark down at the corner amongst the trees
and the bramble bushes so far about a second it is very dark
then the image improves slightly when the ball goes into
the goal area.

All the fun can be found here

Fans absolutely did not run Rudy out of SAFC. Rudy quit the club for his own reasons but the fans were certainly not one of them. If you talk to Rudy then he will confirm that he still holds all the fans of SAFC in the highest regard which is probably one of the reasons that he is in touch with quite a number of them.

Perhaps YorkshireJAMES you ought to do some research before you post.

His team AFC Mansfield are doing really well in the NCEL Prem. Sitting nicely in 5th place with games in hand.

Incidentally, not sure if there is an issue with Mansfield’s ground or something but looking at their results I notice they have now played eight consecutive matches away from home and are due to make that 9 on Wednesday when they play Workshop (if it’s nothing to do with their ground then it’s a bizarre run of fixtures by any measure!).

I’m eagerly awaiting SK post match interview today. Terrible decision to play Stimpson up front, he was running around like a headless chicken for 45 minutes so I’m keen to see his explanation on that. Bit pissed off with some Boro fans today after the final whistle, pretty much shouting for Kittrick to fuck off out of the club. Top supporting there

He explains it perfectly in the interviews, why he has to justify himself when what’s said in the dressing room is private to anyone is beyond me, people telling him to fuck off is disgraceful, no need at all, you’d think we were on the verge of getting relegated the way some people go on..

very brief match report by Old Git

Posted: 11/11/2017 at 21:12:30, 116 views.

1 st half very little happened
2nd half at 1-1 there looked to be only one winner, Boro
We were all over them and just couldn’t get a second.
and then we basically gifted them 2 goals.
To be honest their first came from a failure to kick clear instead of head clear.
So from my vantage point all 3 were from errors.
After that Prescot looked as though they’d score more
but we kept getting the ball up to their area but couldn’t make our
breaks count.
At 1-1 it has been a really decent 2nd half for the neutral.
Our goal came from the kick-off after they scored, the ball was played back
to Taylor who belted it up field, a pass and a long ball that Billy Logan chased down,
after a bit on interchange in the left-hand corner
the ball was crossed low into the box and Coulo touched home.
I’ll post some video tomorrow
Have to say it was very dark in the ground, they have a huge dark coloured main stand
and a lot of talls trees that soak up the light even when the sunshines, which it didn’t do
for 85 mins. So 2nd half video,(all the goals, naturally) might not to be too good.
There was at least 2 other people with video cameras so something better might pop up,
as the actress said to the bishop.

and it was Dave Merris not Tom Taylor
who played the ball upfield for our goal.
An easy mistake to make as they are
of similar build and were wearing the same strip.

Not panicking… But by Fendog

Posted: 11/11/2017 at 16:56:02, 149 views.

Just throwing some stuff out there. Our best 2 players this season were “gifts" to kitkat. Man-managment… Play a defender upfront rather than Logan or Beadle, must do there moral the world of good. Not joining the kitkat out crewe mainly because I don’t know who’s out there to replace him but he asks to be judged at the end of the season so judge I will. It is what it is and these results are not good enough.

The season so far… by seadog365 User: seadog365

Posted: 11/11/2017 at 20:35:59, 104 views. In reply to 'Not panicking… But'

has seen us claim 16 points from 8 away games (aided by a blistering start which has since tailed off) and 13 points from 6 home games (aided by a strong recent run whereby we’ve won our last 4 in a row). Sacking a manager who got us into the top 3 last season and is still in the top 4 (averaging over 2 points per game) at this stage of the season would at best be ludicrous and at worst dangerous, as it could set a precedent whereby managers just don’t want to bother with us if we’re known as a “sacking club".

Not to mention any money we then “wasted" having to pay off his contract would be money we couldn’t spent on players.

For the record I was there today and it was probably our worst defensive display in the league this season, which was a blow because I was hoping that the addition of Knowles would be the final “piece in the jigsaw". He might yet prove to be, but today we just didn’t defend as a cohesive unit at all. Coulo getting us back into it so soon after we conceded should have been the catalyst to push on and get at least 1 if not all 3 points but we just didn’t quite seem ‘at it’ today in general. I’m guessing the experiment with Danny up front will not be repeated, but I actually expected him to score today. Guess we were both wrong!

What we have to do now is bounce back, like we have after our other defeats when we’ve gone on to win the next game.

Totally agree with the point about sacking the manager. All I was saying that without coulo and max we would not of had the start we’ve had. These two players were a gift if you like to kitkat. Where would we be without them and just relying on his players and his tactics. Just my opinion.

if you work out the league table as points per game, south shields are running away with it. we are battling with hyde for 2nd. missing the play offs isnt even an option.

For me every team has a dip during a season the worrying thing for me is the bigger games we seem to lack summat weather that is bad tactics from the management or we just don’t have the side to really go to the next level. I still believe we are 3plauers short of really competing personally. But again can someone explain the decision to play a defender up top as I’m baffled with attacking players on the bench does he not have faith in his squad?
