I’m about 15-20 miles away so should be similar conditions. Plenty of rain so far this week though. Ground like a bog again I’ afraid. Will be gutted if it’s off because I’m planning on vacating the armchair and going to the game!

I’ll also be gutted if it’s off, because I missed last season’s trip for the same postponing reasons, and I’m hoping we aren’t visiting them next season so it would be my last chance (for a while at least!) to go!

If the game is called off for waterlogged or frozen pitch on Saturday at least we have a game 3 days later in cup at home to Pikes. They will be well up for it & we’ll have to be at our best. They beat us earlier in season friendly.

Any idea when the last time all 3 subs scored or if we’ve had it happen before?

Only possible time I could think of would potentially be for Brian France when Danny Gray and Hogg were both on the bench.

Not everyone can be this silly but it is nice to see so many trying.

No sorry. The question was posed on twitter last night and it was suggested that “me or malton" might know the answer but I didn’t. It’s not something I’m aware of having happened. Unless it happened in the Brodsworth game, which I doubt.

It definitely didn’t happen in the Brodsworth game. Although Richard Medcalf came on as sub and got two goals, the other two subs didn’t score that day.

All great goals, but which was the best.? Having had chance to watch the video re-runs, my choice would be no. 6 scored by Nathan Curtis. He has not had much game time, but showed real composure to beat his man and score, not for the first time as sub.We should respect the strength of our bench, and remember it is a 14 man team nowadays.I doubt any other side beating Kendal 7-0 or
South Shields away 3-1.Weii done Boro.!

Hospitality today by Burniston User: Burniston

Posted: 13/1/2018 at 20:33:40, 174 views.

Must say a big thank you to the club for an excellent hospitality experience today and to cap it off with such a great all round team performance and result sent my colleagues home very satisfied and baying for more. It was a difficult decision for MoM today as there were a few contenders and a special mention must go to James Cadman who we all thought was excellent but possibly just missed out by being subbed, (not his fault but a tactical move as he has missed the last few games through injury). We felt he was just pipped in the end by James Walshaw because of his great work rate and hold up play always being a threat to the Kendal defence.

Big game in a couple of weeks against Prescott who are flying at the top of the form table along with us. Lets keep it going boys and we shouldn’t rule out winning this league. It will be tough at the top among the top 5 and with some big games coming up.

against Prescott Cables on 27th. Lets try and drum up some more support and get the crowd above 1,500.

Everyone take someone down who hasn’t been this year or drag a family member/kids/pet along to show what they are missing.

There is a very clear correlation between the higher crowds compared to last year and the standard of football this year.

The 27th of Jan is a huge date for how the league will look going forward. We play Prescott at home and Shields play Hyde away I believe. We must take maximum points that day and we need a massive vociferous crowd to get behind the lads and on Prescotts backs. They are very good away from home, so 3 points is vital.

Punched an opponent apparently.

Be good to lock horns with Darlo again if they go down and we go up this season.

very good crowds, with Whitby added into that as well there could be some lively journeys up and down the Whitby road around Christmas and other Bank Holidays.

Whitby could be relegated so we could bypass each other.

Out of interest can anybody tell me what year Boro and Whitby were last in the same division? I guess it must have been a very very long time ago.

remember only one is going down due to the league restructuring, and it’s almost certainly going to be Sutton Coldfield.

Of course, forgetting it’s only one for the drop this season! And Whitby are 10 points clear of Coldfield so should be ok. Have we ever played in same division as them? I guess we must have done sometime in the dim and distant past.
