Great result today by Armchairdog User: Armchairdog

Posted: 6/1/2018 at 18:13:01, 147 views.

What a fantastic result again today. We’re up to 2nd spot in the table and keeping the pressure up on South Shields. It’s really impressive how we’ve bounced back from the Hyde defeat with 4 consecutive wins - all against top half teams. And in those 4 games we’ve scored a whopping 13 goals and conceded just 3.

Kendal at home next and today’s win should ensure another big crowd for that one. Looking at next Saturday’s fixtures you’d expect all the top teams to win (maybe with the exception of Prescot Cables who face a very tough game away at Clitheroe). But we shouldn’t under-estimate Kendal because their away form has been better than their home form this season. I’ll still be predicting a comfortable Boro win though.

Been on loan at spennymoor… they seemed quite keen. Apparently can play right back too (the one position I still feel we really need).

What a difference by BoroNo7 User: BoroNo7

Posted: 5/1/2018 at 08:41:36, 136 views.

Just noticed on SAFC website that it’s 2 years since SK took over as manager

That made me think what a change there has been in the Club’s fortunes in that relatively short time both on and off the field

2 years ago we were playing at Brid, averaging just over 300 spectators and couldn’t see where the next goal was coming from, never mind a win.

Things today are unrecognisable from how they were in Jan 16, a big vote of thanks due to all those, past and present, who have contributed to this change in our fortunes

We’ve no automatic right to overnight success and there’s still a good way to go yet on the field to get us to a level commensurate with our potential support but without being complacent I think things are going in the right direction .

Why is the ‘fans forum’ for society members only? Are you only a fan if a society member? Not like we were packed out at the AGM. Should we really be excluding anyone, especially local people, who whether they wanted to or not, paid for our stadium with their tax money. Therefore already making a contribution financially

Hey guys, happy new year to you all! I just have a quick question here, I have been in the boro draw for the past five years, bit I have not heard anything recently about my balance. But I did also start the five pound per month direct debit boro draw. Is this the same thing? Has it replaced it?

Some really nice messages on social media between fans and now Chairmen. Great to see.

How about making it a regular pre-season friendly!? We could play some 80s love songs during the match build up.

bearing in mind the other thread, maybe we could start with Unchained Melody by “The Righteous Brothers". OK not from the 80s but not to worry ;-)
