Boro went 2 up in first half with 2 finely worked goals,
the final being played across the 6 yard box for Boro
forward to finish .
The visitors got back into the game when a mix up between
a Boro defender & keeper saw the home keeper lash the ball
against an opposing player only for it to rebound behind him
and trickle into the goal.
Boro almost got a third goal from their familiar well worked play
only for the ball to be thrashed over the bar into the wall
of the swimming pool when it looked easier to score.
Boro regained the 2 goal lead with a penalty just before the
half-time whistle.
Second half saw a lot of huffing and puffing half-chances created
and missed.
Ten minutes from the end the visitors scored an excellent 2nd
at the swimming pool end when the ball was crossed in from the left
where it was met with a powerful header into the net by a visiting forward
that gave the Boro keeper no chance.
I didn’t get a coffee as there was no bar service tonight.
