Be interesting this to see.
I still think we’re a couple of players light. A back up striker something different, left back.
I see Anan isn’t a sub, must be difficult from being at Hull and struggling to get a game with a NPL team..

Averaging 2 points per game after 9 games in a new division, and only one league defeat so far, that’s pretty spot on I’d say.

For their first goal, reports said Bailey was at fault (which he largely was), but both he and Tommy also seemed to be claiming hand ball by their player. You can’t see on the highlights but did anybody at the game see anything?

Burgess by Joe90

Posted: 23/9/2018 at 11:53:14, 282 views.

Be interesting when he returns to the squad and if he gets his place back…I think we need additional strength at left back a few games this season we have been a little out of position on the left and slow to get back… I do like Lacey so perhaps he will move back over when Johnson is fit?

Midfield is very strong at the moment and that’s why Scott isn’t featuring as much, wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave along with Burgess if they don’t start playing more regularly…

We only a few weeks into the season and we are right up there even though we have dropped some points from games against teams I would have expected to win.

Agree about the midfield, I always forget what a good player Luke Dean is when I haven’t seen him for a while. Thought Mezza had a very good game yesterday, strong in defence, good on the ball, and got forward well. Perhaps a bit early to be talking about Burgess not being in the side given he’s been suspended.

No clean sheets since Hednesford on the opening day which is very surprising given the calibre of players we have, and I rate all 3 of our current centre backs, and with Johnson soon to be back giving the chance to switch Lacey to the left from time to time and give Merris a well deserved rest there are certainly plenty of options there.

Whilst it’s true that they got their winner immediately after Burgess came on, it would be harsh to blame him entirely. We had looked like conceding throughout that second half and all the team were guilty of inviting pressure, giving the ball away and generally making poor decisions.

Almost a game of two halves today by Old Git

Posted: 22/9/2018 at 20:06:20, 246 views. In reply to 'So involved with game I forgot'

First half we had plenty of the ball but Ferriby had the best chances.
Our magnificent defenders twice kicked the ball off our goal line
and Tommy made a fine individual block, one on one, when a Ferriby forward
was gifted the ball and moved through on his own to shoot.
We zipped the ball across the goal but nothing as significant as the Ferriby efforts.
if one or two had gone in it might have been a different feeling for the visitors
after 90 mins.
Have to say though I thought we were denied 2 clear penalties in that first 45 mins.
A tug on Wally from behind that the ref couldn’t have seen but the lino in front of the main
stand should have had a clear view. Having said that later in the half a Ferriby defender
tried to remove Dave Merris from his shirt and the match officials were the only ones
down that end that didn’t see it and award us a free kick on the edge of the box.
Second half we managed to screw up yet again and gift the opposition a goal start
from a boot up field that went to a defender who dithered and allowed himself to be robbed
and the ball was run into the net giving Tommy little chance but to raise his arms and ask WTF?
Then with a Boro sub the 2nd half became the James Cadman show.
Don’t know how many seconds he was on the pitch before he chased the ball down,
won it back and crossed for Coulo to head in at the far post.
Two more goals for Wally gave us the 3-1 win but we also struck their post and zipped 2 or 3
across the goal line.
Chris Bolder must be wondering how his side didn’t get a point after the first half display,
but that is footy, it can be cruel as was the stupid barracking of the Ferriby keeper by Boro fans
late in 2nd half.

Very true. They’ve lost 6 league games on the bounce now. How they managed a draw at our place I’ll never know.

The good news is we’re gaining momentum now in the league. That’s 4 wins on the bounce. Tuesday night away at Mickleover will be tough though - they scored 7 in the FA Cup today so they’ll be full of confidence. Hopefully Kittrick will have Cadman on from the start after his performance today.

I thought it was definitely a game of two halves. We seemed to struggle a bit, particularly with our final ball in the first half, but it was a different story in the second. Cadman coming on changed the game for me. The team really impressed with their persistence and perseverance to push on and win the game. Just an aside - perhaps I’m just a heartless old git, but I fail to see how having Cadman on the bench constitutes ‘looking after him.’ (No disrespect meant to him, his situation or his missis.)Surely his mind would be on the game if he were on the pitch rather than him having time to dwell on things sitting on the bench? From his recent performances, his head doesn’t appear to be elsewhere. Just a musing - sorry if it’s a necessity, then that’s how it is, but I think he makes a difference.

Boro Bus by Mick Davison

Posted: 17/9/2018 at 06:41:56, 228 views.

THE BORO BUS

In association with the Supporters Club, we will be providing transport to away games. We are fixing the price at £15 per person, with a reduced price of £7.50 for under 16 year olds (must be accompanied by an adult).

You can book by calling or texting this number ‭07598 931572‬. You can also book at the Hub when it’s open or at the Club Shop at the ground on match days.

Going forward, we are looking at an up-front payment system so that we can ensure we book the right size bus. For some midweek games we will be looking at booking a minibus rather than a coach. As such, we would like to hear from anyone with a Category D licence who would be prepared to drive.

The coach to North Ferriby on Saturday 22nd September departs the Railway Station at midday, expecting to travel via Driffield.

What is the correct fixture for Saturday 22nd? by Viking Seadog

Posted: 16/9/2018 at 18:30:51, 190 views.

I have read that the away game at Basford United was moved to Saturday 22nd of September.
On the official website it says we’re playing North Ferriby away. Looks like the Boro bus is heading in that direction too …
