I know we aren’t up yet, however I wonder once / if we get promoted we will hear of any news of the ground improving, i.e. terracing or even another roof added on
Just curious as there is possibility we could get even bigger crowds next year especially potentially more away fans watching and due to us been in a higher league.

Roll on the 3 games :)

Don’t expect more away fans. Other than shields and Whitby. The average attendances for the other clubs is no better than our current division.

Won’t realistically be much bigger away followings. Think we’ll attract more (if doing well, of course) if viewing improves. If you think about it we’re averaging about a 1,000. Those more irregular attenders have probably largely been to the bigger games when viewing was an issue (i’d say it’s Okish for about 1.200-300, so in order to attract them regularly the viewing has to improve and the information disseminated.

What exactly would people like to see in terms of ground improvements?

I really hope the board are being ambitious in what they are aiming for. I was very disappointed with the small amount of terracing in the shed behind the goal at FLS. It’s far too small, not enough steps - should have been at least double what was provided, ideally treble.

Excellent game for a neutral. City deserved the win. It was a ‘proper’ keeper between the sticks for Northwood, but may as well been a midfielder. He was crap.

Not really no. Not sure what possible “issues" they are on about. Unless they mean if a team resigns, and the points gained against that team are taken away and all the points totals change. Like with Eastwood. But I can’t see that happening this late in the season can you

In a theoretical world a number of clubs could drop out of one of the other 5 leagues and have their results expunged thus pushing up the PPG average of the 3rd placed team to a figure in excess of Hyde or ourselves. Putin could also attend our last home game with Trump of course. Best win our last 3 just to be safe.

only the FA can announce best 3rd place ppg team by Seadog Update User: Seadog Update

Posted: 18/4/2018 at 14:29:18, 97 views. In reply to 'RE: RE: can anyone understand this ?'

The NPL can only declare 1st, 2nd and conventional play-off teams and relegated teams in D1N and D1S.

The NPL has no say in the finishing positions of the Southern or Isthmian divisions so they cannot possibly comment or declare.

The best placed 3rd team ppg at step 4 nationally is a FA rule and only the FA can declare who it is. Presumably they will do this when ALL the games across ALL the divisions are complete

Posted: 18/4/2018 at 14:20:15, 114 views. In reply to 'RE: can anyone understand this ?'

For instance, in Evo-stik South East division, Marlow recently failed to fulfill a fixture with Ashford Town, when players did not turn up, due to a dispute with the Club. Having said that they played last night against Chalfont St Peter. However they have 4 fixtures to complete. If they did not complete their fixtures, the league would have to rule what would happen. We know that Cambridge took 4 points in 2 games and Hartley took 3 points from 2 gamesagainst Marlow.
Hartley can currently get 88 points from 42 games giving ppg of 2.095. Eliminating the Marlow games would give 85 point from 40 games giving ppg of 2.125 . Hyde currently on ppg of 2.13.
My guess is that NPL are just hedging their bets, besides Hartley or Cambridge would still need to win their outstanding fixtures

I agree with what most people above have said , only the FA can have the final say in all this - we just need to keep on piling up the points

However I’ve read the NPL statement several times and it does not make sense at all , grammatically or logically

Phew!

Dunstable, Hayes, Frickley, Cray, Greenwich, Corinthians are all eliminated from our thoughts. Hyde obviously will have to up their own spreadsheet game and keep an eye on some of them yet.

Hartley 88 (4) & Cambridge City 87 (5) are the last men standing. R&D won tonight, remaining on course for automatic promotion in the south east.

Great comeback. Well done, Boro! 3pts required. Three opportunities now to finish it.
