Interested to hear people’s thoughts on how we need to strengthen next season. It will be difficult for many clubs to survive and if they do, their budgets will be much lower.
Also, will attendances fall?

It’s just pure speculation on my part, and I could well be wrong, but my guess is that attendances at first will actually rise, because people will have been so starved of events/entertainment/social gatherings etc that they will be going in droves, a bit like after the 2nd world war (not that I’m expecting it to be a six year lay-off, I hope not anyway!!!!)

It will be interesting to see what happens, there are a lot of clubs out there that will suffer, unfortunately. Hopefully some sort of solidarity will kick in from the upper tiers. It would cost relative peanuts to keep a huge number of non-league clubs going.

As prem clubs (like Newcastle) are asking for Gov support to pay staff (rather than stopping one week’s pay to the first team and execs which would cover all non-playing staff pay for the year) I wouldn’t hold out much hope.

Surely all the top clubs have furloughed their staff so they receive 80% of their wages up to £2500mth? I mean, we’re all in this together right?!
