if there is a prediction comp this season….. by Seadog Update User: Seadog Update

then I have a “standing prediction" that our home games crowd will be 600 (ufn)

I got in first so no-one else will be able to use 600 as their crowd prediction for home games!

in the past Armchairdog allowed the same crowd guess as someone else. After all you are allowed to guess the same score.

I was thinking about running it again but I have a suggestion.

Maybe instead of the part where you try to guess the crowd we have a “guess the first Boro scorer". We would have to allocate points for each player along the lines of 1 point for a striker, 3 for a midfielder and 5 for a defender. Or something like that. Any thoughts?

To help me set this up I’d need someone with their finger on the pulse to give me a list of the existing squad ASAP with suggested positions because I’ve lost track with all the comings and goings!

That would be less easy to monitor… by seadog365 User: seadog365

as most people at full time would have far more on their mind than remembering to look at the attendance on here. Usually emotions full of happiness or sadness.

Agreed.

How about the following:

Correct Result (W/D/L): 4 points
Correct Team Goals: 4 points per team
Correct Score: 2 bonus points

and additional points for predicting first Boro goalscorer:

1 point: Cartman, Coulson
3 points: Brown, Blott, Watson, Beadle, Cadman
4 points: Gooda, Coates, Spence, Assenso, Barrett, Porritt, Bishop, Glynn, Cogill, Thornton
5 points: Avison, Jackson, Weledji,

Have I missed anyone out there?

Good question. He played as a trialist against Eccleshill in the friendly just over a week ago. Not sure whether he “made the cut". Same with Tom Devitt.

It’s a bit tricky to nail the squad down at this time of year!
